is there tryptophan in tofurkey? I’m beat

I have about 36 pages of Setting right now. With illustrations, color text and a few more bits of info it might round up to 40. I hope it’s enough, and I hope it’s not too much.

I’ve decided to put setting info before the preparation/chargen stuff because I think it’s important to know a few things about the setting before you make up your own stuff. I’m not a big fan of games with included settings that provide six pages of summary, then character creation, then 40 pages of expanded description. I invariably have to flip back to those 40 pages anyway. Why waste book space repeating info?

I have a list now of stuff I still need to write, and it’s mostly color and examples. Sample worlds, sample factions, sample adventures, examples of play, examples of conflict, that sort of thing.

In hindsight, I see now that my previous playtest document was really a sub-alpha thing, and what I have now is the real playtest doc. It’s sort of like thinking you’ve sobered up, then realizing three hours later that you were nowhere near sober.

At least that’s what Keith tells me it’s like. And Matt Snyder. Those damn drunks.
But yeah, I think that this current playtest group is really knocking stuff into place. Things are looking good.
